Happy 4th of July friends! Hope you all are enjoying this holiday with friends and family and good food of course! My fiancé and I are barbecuing some chicken drum sticks and having some corn on the cob with potato salad on the side! Yum!! After we eat we plan to go out and watch some fire works to end the night 🙂
Sorry for not posting this past week, if you follow me on instagram than you probably saw a few insta stories of my road trip to California. My fiancé and I traveled to Lake Nacimiento to meet with friends and family. I actually vlogged part of my trip! I loved catching up with my family and disconnecting from the rest of the world for our 3 day weekend. It was much needed and simply amazing! Kenra Grip Collection
For today’s post I wanted to share with you all Kenra’s NEW Grip Collection. The new Grip collection includes three finishing hair products that are light-weight, have all over hair volume and provide all day hold.
As many of you already know, I have thick hair and lots of it. So much so that not many products provide the hold that my hair needs in order to create flawless hairstyles.
When I found out that the Kenra Grip Collection was designed to create textured hairstyles such as bridal hairstyles I knew I wanted to put these products to the test.
I like to create hairstyles that look flawless and the products I use need to work with holding my hair in place without it becoming stiff. I like to go for a look that looks messy but really put together, if you know what I mean.
I began my hair styling with adding about 2 quarters size of the Whip Grip Mousse to my already dry hair. Since I have lots of hair, I already have volume and I didn’t want to add too much to my hairstyle. I loved how easy the product came out of the bottle and how amazing it smelled!
After I braided my hair I added a few sprays of the Air Grip Spray to prevent flyaways and to keep the volume my hair already had. The first thing I noticed after a few minutes of letting the hair spray settle was that it didn’t leave my hair stiff. My hair felt soft and flexible to the touch, which allowed my hair to look put together and like if I had just thrown it into a braid!
I completed my hairstyle by using the last product in the Kenra Grip Collection. I used the High Grip Spray to really set in my hairstyle. I liked this hairspray because it said it holds your hair for 24 hours. Again, I added a few sprays and waited for the product to settle. When I touched my hair I noticed that it still felt soft to the touch and not stiff! Yaaass!!
My hair looked flawless and kept in place! I went out and ran errands with this hairstyle, I kept my hair in the braid for a little over 8 hours. My hair stayed put together and flawless! This is the perfect hair collection for days I plan to go out and need my hair to really stay in place without having to worry about it being so stiff like a helmet.
What are your plans for this 4th of July?
