Happy Saturday! Hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! Some of you may have noticed that I have been gone from my blog for a couple of weeks. For those readers who follow me on my Instagram and Twitter account have gotten a little peek into what I have been up to. But not to worry my lovely readers, I will dedicate today’s post to you! I will be filling you in and telling you a little bit about what has been happening in my life as well as give you all the details on my outfit! This post will also be the first post out of my Moving Series. Yay for my FIRST series on my blog!

I moved to Las Vegas

The title couldn’t be any clearer I would say. And yes, I did move to Las Vegas! Whoo hoo!! Wow can you believe it? Little ole’ me living in this huge new city? I still can’t believe that I took a chance and moved out of STATE! What?! This has been a journey for me, let me tell you… It wasn’t overnight that I chose to move to Las Vegas and to bring along with me my fiancé and my dearest fur baby, Bambi. Yes, Bambi came too… I couldn’t leave the little guy back in California. I would miss his cuddles and kisses way too much.

Good Bye Santa Cruz

For those of you who have been keeping up with me, know that I am a beach girl at heart. I lived in California my entire life and have been surrounded by the ocean and it’s cooling mist. I was a Santa Cruz local my entire life and I’d like to think that I still am a local, but in spirit. My family still lives in Santa Cruz, which will help with my aching heart, for I will visit them frequently. Once I knew that I was moving out of state away from my hometown I began to brainstorm ideas of featuring my hometown in my projects. I visited the beach and visited my favorite place to hike in Santa Cruz. I even filmed a video of the beautiful beaches on the Santa Cruz Coast. Santa Cruz was a huge part of my life and still is! So many good memories at the beach, from laying out and enjoying the perfect weather to having bonfires at night surrounded by amazing people. Those times will be forever cherished in my heart.

Hello Las Vegas

I had visited Las Vegas three times before I decided to move here. The first time I visited Las Vegas had me mesmerized. All the lights and gigantic building, each with their own unique character was mind blowing. Coming from a small beach town girl to one of the most popular destinations in the world, I was in love! My sister and her fiancé had gone a few times before and finally convinced my boyfriend at the time (now fiancé) and I to come along with them on a weekend trip. When I first visited Las Vegas, I found myself in a huge playground, what I would call an adult version of Disneyland. There was so much to do!

As you would guess, it wasn’t difficult for my sister to convince me to join her and her fiancé on another weekend getaway. I documented my second trip through a video you can watch on my YouTube channel : )

Obviously, Las Vegas made it to the top of the list of places we wanted to move to! I’ll get into that a little later on a different post on how we came to the decision of moving to the City of Lights!

Outfit Details

Spring is right around the corner and it’s still a bit cool but warm enough to wear light weight pieces outside. I have yet gone out to shop for some Spring clothing essentials but found this cute and still very much trendy top in my closet that is perfect for transitioning into Spring. I got this top at Forever 21. I love that this top is a peasant style top with the floral detail near the collar part. I paired this top with black jeans I got from Macy’s that I’m still very much obsessed with. I wore these same jeans on my, Pink Lace Up Sweater post. I wanted to be a bit daring and decided to wear these gorgeous drop earrings from Ettika.com I say daring, because quite honestly it has been about a couple years since I have worn drop earrings. I love how they complimented my outfit and I especially love that these earrings are available on saksfifthavenue.com for a limited time. I plan on wearing more of these earrings in the near future, so keep an eye out. I finished this look with some beautiful colorful canvas shoes!

Before I end the post I wanted to thank you all for being patient with me on my break from the blog. It truly means a lot to me, I’ll be working hard to post at least once a week for you all : )

Let me know in the comments below if you have visited Las Vegas before? I would love to hear what your favorite thing to do here was!

Me Mudé a Las Vegas

¡Feliz sabado!

Me mudé a Las Vegas

I’ve never been to Vegas, but yay for you! I’m a Midwestern girl, and would love to move to a “big” city one day, maybe. (I live in the capital city of my state, so it’s “big” to me – but it’s tiny compared to Vegas 🙂 )

  • GiGi Eats Celebrities March 6, 2017 at 9:34 am

Congrats on the move!!! I have never been to Vegas, but I think I am going to be changing that this year.

  • Richard_eCoursesXYZ (@Richard_eCourse) March 6, 2017 at 10:40 am

Congrats on your move. If you plan to stay for a while check into the deals offered for locals only. Lots of free tickets to shows and other venues just for being a permanent resident of Las Vegas… I have family there which is how I know this.

  • sophisticatedrustblog March 6, 2017 at 10:58 am

Congrats on the move and good luck! I moved out of my home state about 10 years ago, and now its been 10 years! OMG I have loved it.

  • Krysten March 6, 2017 at 1:03 pm

    I love the outfit.
I have made a big move like yours to Las Vegas before. I moved from Texas to San Francisco, which was huge for me.

    • Rosey March 7, 2017 at 12:34 am

Oh wow! yes, that’s different! I love San Francisco. Santa Cruz was about 2 hours away from there… I wanted to go to college there, but the cost of living was too expensive for me.

  • Alicia Nicole March 6, 2017 at 1:33 pm

Wow, this seems like such an adventure. Congratulations! I wish I had the courage to move out-of-state (it’s been a dream of mine for a while) but it definitely wouldn’t be easy for me, my husband and my baby girl. Thanks for sharing your journey with us!

Wow congrats on the move to the big city and what a fun place to move to, Las Vegas the city of lights. Santa Cruz is beautiful but we all crave a change sometimes, I am moving again too xx

    • Rosey March 7, 2017 at 12:29 am

Thank you! Yes, I needed a change and Vegas made it to the top of my list 🙂 Where are you moving to? If you don’t mind me asking..

  • Brittany Ferrell March 6, 2017 at 5:06 pm

I live here in Las Vegas and despite the reputation, I am successfully raising my baby girl and I am a part of a wonderful community. We welcome you and your family thoroughly! Your top is perfect for Vegas. White is a good color to deflect heat and you can still layer it for our random weather patterns. Enjoy our great city!

    • Rosey March 7, 2017 at 12:28 am

Thank you, your so sweet! I have found that there are two sides to Vegas. Most people, tourists only know the fun, wild side but Vegas can be very family friendly beautiful in it’s own way 🙂

      • Brittany Ferrell March 7, 2017 at 11:40 am

That is exactly it! You are one of us now!

That’s cool that you are getting back to your blog. And it’s great that you found a place that you really wanted to move to. I am sure I could take the winters there. I am just not sure I could deal with the summers. I look forward to seeing what new things you do with your blog in the future.

    • Rosey March 7, 2017 at 12:26 am

Thank you, that means a lot to me! I’ve lived in a city that would get really hot when I moved away to college… I’m hoping the summer is like that here. But I guess I’ll have to wait a month or so.

      • toastycritic March 7, 2017 at 5:42 am

Yeah I went to the Bay Area for college. So it would be warm but still with a nice cool ocean breeze.

  • tatumskipper March 6, 2017 at 5:27 pm

Those earrings are super cute!! Ahhh Las Vegas is like my guilty pleasure. One of my favorite US cities for sure!! Super jelly. Definitely take a hot air balloon over the desert!

    • Rosey March 7, 2017 at 12:24 am

Thank you! I will! I have lots of things I want to do on my bucket list 🙂

  • Leah March 6, 2017 at 6:03 pm

Wow. what I big step moving away from a place your love and have always lived in. I admire that courage. My husband and I have spoken about moving to a different city but always decide to stay where we are for family and our kids. I have been to Las Vegas twice. The second time was with my fiance where we got married at the cute little chapel down on S 3rd St… We had the best day and all our friends back home could watch online us getting married. I love Vegas and hope to get back there for our 10 year anniversary.

    • Rosey March 7, 2017 at 12:23 am

Thank you! That’s so sweet! It’s amazing how technology helps us share moments!
