Happy Wednesday my beautiful readers! I wanted to share with you all one of my favorite places to hike in Santa Cruz. The Forest of Nisene Marks is an enchanted forest filled with lots of redwood trees. I like hiking here on hot summer days because of the shade the tall redwood trees provide. I can get my workout done while I enjoy some beautiful green landscape. Who doesn’t love the sound of that? It’s also a great place to take photographs!

What I Wore

I normally wear athletic clothes when I come out to The Forest of Nisene Marks, however, I chose to wear one of my casual “winter” outfits. The good thing about winters here in Santa Cruz is that the sun actually comes out and it hardly ever gets chilly. This particular morning was mid 50’s, neither cold nor hot. I decided to pay the magnificent forest a visit and take a few photographs while there. I opted to wear this beautiful knit sweater with lace detailing. I paired the sweater with thick fleece leggings and some taupe booties. I loved how the greens of the trees in the background made my white sweater pop out in the photographs. Perfect outfit for a gorgeous setting.

Do you guys have a favorite place to hike? Let me know down in the comments, I would love to hear all about it =)

XO Rosey

Santa Cruz winters sound like my kinda thing. I’m not much of an outdoormen (read that as you will never catch me hiking unless it’s through a mall), but I’m loving this outfit!
